The reception measures 3.68m by 4.36m. It still has many original features – the beams, the large fireplace, the picture rails, the oak-plank doors with original hinges and latches, the plaster-and-lath ceiling – and forms a continuous space with the kitchen, opening up the flat.
There is no reason not to keep this space as a reception, especially as the front door opens into this space.
